A trio of small abstracts the flavor of summer.

This small pastel is one of three drawings I made over the same theme; Summer comes with sweet treats and one of my all time favourites is strawberries with cream. They taste heavenly, so when the first ones are ripe its time to invite some friends over and enjoy the delicious bright red berries outside in the shade to celebrate the warm summer afternoon.

In this pastel drawing, I explored the interplay between abstraction and impressionism, where soft, flowing lines merge with bold, vivid colors. These elements evoke a sensation of movement and emotion, capturing a lively dance of forms on a warm backdrop. I intended to convey feelings of joy and energy, ensuring that this piece radiates a vivid vibrancy into any living space.

This series is made with Unison Colour soft pastels on cotton paper and has a fine layer of Sennelier fixative as finishing a coat. Its framed floating in a white wooden frame with art glass.
